What Grabnix does and does not collect, in plain language.

Grabnix is a collection of free browser-based utilities operated from grabnix.com. This policy explains exactly what happens to the data you put into those tools, what our third-party providers collect, and what choices you have. We have tried to write it without the usual hedging — where we say something never leaves your device, we mean it literally, and the section below explains how you can verify that for yourself.
The image converters and compressor, the PDF merge/split/rotate tools, the HEIC converter, the QR code generator, every calculator, every unit converter and every text utility are implemented in client-side JavaScript. When you select a file or type a value, the work happens in your browser's memory using standard web APIs such as Canvas, File and Blob. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is queued on a server, and nothing is written to a database.
You do not have to take our word for this. Open your browser's developer tools (F12 on most desktop browsers), switch to the Network tab, and use any of those tools. You will see the page's own HTML, CSS and JavaScript load, plus requests from the advertising and analytics providers named below — but no request carrying your file or your input.
Because processing is local, your files also stay on your device when you close the tab. We have no copy to delete, because we never had one.
Converting a Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ODF, RTF, TXT or CSV document to PDF requires a full office-document rendering engine, which cannot practically run in a browser. That single feature, found on the PDF Tools page, works differently:
If a document is confidential enough that a few seconds on a third-party server is unacceptable, please do not use that particular converter. Every other tool on the site is safe for that material because it never sends anything anywhere.
Like essentially every website, our web server records standard request logs: the IP address making the request, the time, the page or file requested, the HTTP status code, the referring page and the browser's user-agent string. We use these only to keep the site running — diagnosing errors, spotting broken links and identifying abusive traffic such as scrapers or denial-of-service attempts. They are not combined with advertising data and are not used to build a profile of you.
Grabnix itself does not set cookies to track you, and there is no login session to maintain. Some tools may remember a preference using your browser's localStorage, which stays on your device and is readable only by this site. The cookies you encounter here come from two third parties.
We display advertising supplied by Google. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent prompt before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the same prompt.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is actually used — which tools people reach for, where a layout confuses them, and which pages break on particular devices. Clarity records anonymised interaction data such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and page performance metrics. It masks text input by default, so what you type into a tool is not captured in its recordings. Microsoft's handling of this data is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, either globally or per site, in its privacy settings. Blocking third-party cookies will not stop any Grabnix tool from working — the tools do not depend on them.
Grabnix is a general-purpose utility site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the site collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for a parent to request the deletion of; if you nevertheless have a concern, please write to us.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data held about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we hold no user accounts and no personal data beyond transient server logs, in most cases there is simply nothing on file to produce. For data held by Google or Microsoft in connection with advertising and analytics, please use the opt-out links and privacy portals in the sections above, since we cannot access or delete records held in their systems on your behalf.
Some pages link to external references and documentation. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to, and we would encourage you to read their policies before providing them with information.
If we add a feature that changes how data is handled — for example another server-side tool — we will update this page and change the date at the top before that feature goes live. Material changes will be summarised here rather than quietly absorbed into the text.
